Table Top Resin Volume Calculator

This calculator is designed to help you figure out the quantity of resin that you will need to cover a given area at a give thickness and if you intend to do it in multiple coats how much to mix per coat.

To use the calculator enter the width and length of your project in inches, if you have sides make sure to add some for that (if the sides are more than an inch or two you may want to calculate their area separately). Next enter in the desired total thickness of the coating. For a general bartop coating that is usually somewhere between .040″ and .060″ (about a 1/16th of an inch) For castings and coatings where there are objects that are being encapsulated it may be thicker. Next enter in how thick you want to go with each coat. The calculator should automatically update the results in the lower box if not click the update button. Results for area is shown in cubic feet, volume is shown in cubic ounces, fluid ounces, and milliliters.

Keep in mind the amounts shown do not include wastage, i.e. what gets spilled on the floor, what is in your brush, what is left in the bucket etc, so factor up accordingly when purchasing.
